This page contains information on our featured Beer Style of the Month. If you would like to contribute, please send us your ideas.

January is Stout month. This will give all the pseudo-Irish time to prepare for St-Pats day.

February covers Porter, which is a close relation to Stout.

March sees a ligher style Pale Ale, which was only made possible by improvments to the malting fuels available in Britain.

April leaves the Brittish Isles and journeys to Callifornia's Steam beer, preserved to this day by the Anchor brewing company.

May sees us return to the British Isles and resurrect the almost extinct style of Mild.

Next we investigate the world of Lagers, and start with Bohemian Pilsener.

A quick half turn of the globe brings us back to the good 'ol USofA where we resurrect the commercially extinct style of Classic American Pilsener.

Coming back home, we see how you can clone Boags Premium, an example of Australian Premium Lager.

So please take a look at the above links to review the history of the style, along with brewing ingredients and recipes.
